GMS (German Medical Service) in Afghanistan

The German Medical Service (GMS) maintains a hospital in Kabul, in which Tuberculosis, Leishmaniasis and Epilepsy are treated systematically. Additionally, this hospital is used for the training of the employees. The GMS also cares for the maintenance and repair of electric and plumbing installations in clinics. Another activity of the GMS is the training of young men for mechanical engineering. After succesfully having completed the training, the young men are equipped with tools and equipment so that they can operate a small business on their own. The Foundation Wienbeck could establish the repair center for endoscopes in the facilities of the GMS in Kabul, see reports of November 2010 and June 2012.
